I just realized I haven’t seen the bottom of my feed reader (Google Reader is my choice by the way) for weeks. It just keeps piling up, and every now and then I just bulk mark categories as read.
No more, or at least that’s the plan. I just unsubscribed to 15 feeds. More will fall off unless they make me click soon.
RSS is great, it really is. Unfortunately you can end up getting way too much information. Overload isn’t a good thing if it stops you from actually using the information flow. In other words, reading feeds all day won’t make me more productive.
Where I live the golf season is more or less 10 months long, at least if you can take a cold wind and some rain every now and then. I can, at least if I get my ass on the course. Then it doesn’t bother me all that much, wearing the right stuff helps of course. It’s a lot harder convincing yourself to go out for a round if the weather is bad before you actually leave home for the course, but that’s just me being lazy or something like that.
Anyway, it’s Spring here and the golf season is well on the way. I’ve played a couple of times (was a slow starter this year) and it makes me feel all that better. Just getting out in the fresh air walking, swinging and enjoying life for a couple of hours is a real boost. You need that, you know, since sitting in front of a screen is a very static kind of life.
Now if someone would just hand me $1200 so that I can upgrade my gear. My golf clubs are from 1994 or something like that, and they took this winter badly with rust and whatnot. It’s about time I upgrade. Maybe I should do a PayPal fund raiser for me upgrading golf clubs, promising to release a Wordpress theme to the public or something.
Anyway, don’t forget to get some air and leave the computer every now and again. You need it too, just like I do.
My brother runs ProToolerBlog, a blog covering pro audio. He’s into that stuff, and whenever I see all the gear that ends up in his mailbox, so am I.
Anyway, I helped him out with a redesign. He wanted it blue. He got blue.

Head over to ProToolerBlog and have a look.
For once I decided to show up at a gaming PR event, probably the event this year. The Swedish PlayStation3 launch party sported A and B-list celebrities, free booze, a Lebanese buffet that I never got near, way to many people and a whole bunch of PlayStation3 demo stands that wasn’t as crowded as the bar.
Oh, and a bikini model on a swing in the ceiling.
There are some photos up in this post on Kong, as well as a few from the midnight launch at a big retailer in Stockholm. Don’t try to read it unless you know Swedish, just scroll down.
All in all I had a nice evening and I got to meet up with a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while. In spite of that, I’m guessing it’ll be another year before I attend a gaming PR event again. It’s just not my cup of tea.
Nick Cave might not be one of my favorite singers but Murder ballads is a modern classic. Unfortunately the only thing that really has classic all over it in his spin-off project Grinderman
“>Grinderman, which is both the name of the band and the debut album, is the first two songs.
No pussy blues is brilliant, but you can do without the rest.
Too bad. I wanted to like this back to basic, gritty rock in the basement kind of album. Really too bad.
I delivered two Wordpress themes today. Hopefully I’ll be able to link to the sites using them pretty soon. So yeah, client stuff. I’ve got a bunch of concepts spinning in my mind so hopefully I’ll be able to get going. This blog needs some love, you all know that of course, and I’m gonna finish up the two other projects that are on my table this week or the next. Well, not finish but at least push them out of my hands for a while. How’s that for being cryptic huh?
My crossgrade for Adobe Creative Suite arrived, got installed and works like a charm. I need my Photoshop, like most designers. And 901am got posts today as well. All in all I’m pretty much steaming along.
Feeling better just rocks. Almost back to my own self. I’m going to celebrate that with a sturdy single malt away from the computer.
I’m finally feeling somewhat like myself again, which is a nice change from the coughing feverish person a couple of days ago. Naturally, I have a ton of things that have piled up so I’m gonna get right to it chopping through it and hopefully I’ll be able to work as normal next week.
In other words, I’ll continue to be semi-away here for a little while longer. I have however resumed my work at 901am at my regular pace, and you’ll see other stuff from may pretty soon, depending on when the clients will launch their sites.
Thanks for bearing with me while I get back in gear.
Oh man. What a weekend. I got to be healthy for a grand total of three (3) days. Then fevers and cough and whatnot struck and I was out all weekend. Friday evening ’til now - I’m still not on my feet for regular working hours.
That blows, and so does my nose.
All of you who have e-mailed me, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. The projects that are in the pipeline are intact, overall, although I’ll have a few stressful days this week. Hopefully I’ll manage. I’ve had some medical issues earlier so I’m not taking any chances, nothing is worth that…
Anyway, sorry if you’re waiting for me to get back to you. While you wait, you might as well check out the newly released public beta of Swedish site Kong. It’s been up a week or so, and it’s doing really well.
