I’m leaving Wisdump, which I have been running for quite some time, in favor of, well, what? I’m not supposed to tell until tomorrow, but maybe I let it slip in my bye bye Wisdump post…?!
OK, so I did.
It was a fun gig, running Wisdump, although I could’ve gotten off to a better start, with it being pretty much run down and all. It’s a tough crowd, I guess, but I think they treated me nicely.
Anyway, thanks for all the fish and all that. I already did a goodbye post so go read that one instead. I’m off to celebrate!
WordPress 2.5 is out, and wordpress.org has gotten a new design. Nice. If I find the time, I think I’ll go against my own judgement and install 2.5 early on, instead of awaiting the 2.5.1 bug fix that is bound to come along.
WordPress 2.5 RC2 is out, which is promising. I’ll probably put this one on a demo blog if I have the time, or perhaps even here. The most interesting addition is the gallery functionality, including nifty upload of multiple files at once. If you don’t want to install the release candidate, which is better than beta but not quite full, you can check out Matt’s screencast which demos this well enough.
Sorry about your teeth man!
As said yesterday, there’s a new version of BloggerTalks around the corner. Here’s the new logo:

As you can see, I’ve reused the type from the current version, but have switched to dual colors. Blue and orange have always been the link colors of choice for BloggerTalks, and I’m going with that.
BloggerTalks is still in hiatus. I didn’t plan it being like this, after the move to my new house (which is now more or less complete, office-wise at least), but here we are, and I’ll just have to make the most of it. I do, however, prefer to tell people about what’s going on, so that’s what I’ll do.
You see, on April 1st, there’s something happening that will inflict on today’s BloggerTalks, and that isn’t a good thing. Actually, it’s bordering close to a conflict of interest, so I’ll have to rethink everything. Read more
And it takes time as well! Seriously, 10 minutes and just 78% of Everybody’s Golf: World Tour is installed. I enjoy consoles because of their simplicity (and me getting away from the desktop), but this is ridiculous.

Oh wait, did I call it a console? Today’s consoles are computers, not counting the Wii, which is still “just” a games machine. I’m not sure I like where this is heading, but then again the Wii’s the one leading the race at the moment, so I might not be the only one?
Then again, Sony did get me to get early on both DVD and Blu-ray thanks to the PlayStation brand, so maybe they’re not so far off after all…
Three Firefox (for Mac) crashes this morning so far. It seems to be a bug of sorts, when opening new tabs too quickly after loading a web page in a separate tab. Not acceptable, there should be an auto-report error button when Firefox crashes!
You might remember from various social notes that I switched back from Safari to Firefox due to the instability of the former… Well, with Safari 3.1 out, maybe I should give the Apple browser another go?
I got the chance to participate in a group interview over at Vandelay Website Design, joined by several talented designers. Do check it out for some nice thoughts and styles when it comes to design work, from me and others.
Steven got one thing wrong though. I’m not an employee of Splashpress Media, I just do a lot of client work for them. Hopefully he’ll clarify that soon enough.
