Getting some link love, and showing appreciation

It’s always nice to get some inbound links to posts and work in general that you do. Not only does it give you new readers, you can also feel good about yourself since the article or post in question apparently is good enough to link.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank David Krug for the kind words in Five simple steps to build a great team blog, a great post with some great advice by the way. Blogging for Money spotted that I was the first blogger to leave The Blog Herald back on December 6th, good job. Kamrul included me in his list of most influential bloggers of 2006, which is very flattering considering the other names on there. And finally Munir Umrani’s recommended reading post that points to both my interview with Matt Craven over at Bloggertalks, and my recent post about the trouble of finding a good dotcom name. Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

Now, if you get some link love you should always give it back, so I did above of course. Also, I like to say thanks (or hi, at least) when someone pimps something I’ve done, either in the comments or in an e-mail. I don’t pretend to see every inbound link I get, but the ones I do get across usually gets this treatment. I think it’s just common sense to be polite and nice.

With that I’ll point you to today’s interview over at Bloggertalks. Howard Lindzon talks Wallstrip, web TV and The Blogging Times, take a look.

    Hey TDH,
Thanks and good that you liked it. I was just listing according to value of accomplishment, rather then buzz.

As my appreciation i added you in my personal blog, and asked 451 to let me add you on blognewswatch too.
