My Editorship Has Begun

I’m the new editor over at The Blog Herald, as of yesterday actually. It was officially announced today though, so pop over for that. Among the things on my plate for this gig is of course a redesign, you can follow that on the site of course, and via Twitter, both mine and the one created for The Blog Herald.

Thanks! I’m doing my best to crank it up! :)

Any chance we will see a broadening of its coverage a little? It does, at times, feel a little like, as one commenter put it, “The Wordpress Herald”. It’d be nice to see it truly become a site that covered all aspects of blogging, not just one technological subset.

  4. TDH says:

Absolutely! While I do love WordPress, I’ve already started the process of making room for other blog platforms.

Should anyone have any specific suggestions regarding this (well, everything really), I’m all ears.

    Good to hear. :)
Specifically, I’d really like to see a bit more coverage of the platforms outside the Automattic / Six Apart / Blogger trifecta. I’m hearing some good mumblings about Drupal, and how’s Habari doing these days?

There’s no really good source for this kind of news, and it would be a good role for the Blog Herald.

Personally, I’d say using Drupal for blogging is a bit over the top, but yep, we’ll keep an eye on these things as well. Hopefully you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
