One of my illustrators sent me a promising sketch for the Orn logo. I’ll not show it here though, let’s see what we decide to run with first.
Yes, Orn. I have hinted at this project before and it is nearing its release, no dates yet though. Actually, the logo is one of the last things I need to get it going so you can imagine my enthusiasm when the sketch showed up in my mailbox.
Orn is a fantasy (you know, wizards and dragons) world that I’m developing. Or rather, I have a fairly good mental image on how things look and work but it needs to be penned down and set in stone to actually be worth something. And I’ll do this online, on a Orn dedicated blog. I’ll continuously post snippets of information about the Orn world, partly to make myself actually put it down but also to include my readers in the process. As with most blogs there will be the opportunity to comment on posts, so I hope to have dialogues that help me do the right decisions during the creation process.
Now, I’m not building the Orn world just for fun. There will be some outspoken goals that I want to achieve, and I’ll post about them and how they turn out on the Orn blog. Also, there’ll be monthly short stories by yours truly sporting characters I know some of my readers will recognize from my previous work.
I’m very excited by this project and really long to get it underway. At the same time I realize that I’m entering the traditionally busiest time of the year for me, so I won’t give you a launch date before everything’s ready and I have a nice stock of evergreens (that is, posts that’ll work whenever – a backup archive so to speak). The last thing I want is for the Orn blog to lose momentum, a steady flow of information is vital in this project since I want the reader to return and continue to follow the development.
So. More on Orn in the near future.
