Relaunching my Swedish blog, and Wordpress actually ate my post?!

That’s a first… Wordpress ate my post. I’m blaming the autosave feature. It’s all gone. I’m not rewriting it since it’s the most boring thing in the world… I will update Wordpress though.

Anyway, I have relaunched my Swedish blog in all haste. It’s located at tdh.se and runs a very early version of the TDH theme that I will use for TDH 2.0. The reason for this crazy launch is my recent sale of my Swedish sites, which of course merits a few blog posts.

Take a look and let me know what you think about the design. It’s very, very much beta and will probably not work in all browsers. My Swedish readers might want to bookmark it too.

It looks great! Cant wait to see it develop. :)

  2. Wordpress eats my posts all the time at PetLvr. If the Autosave kicks in .. it hangs up and gives me the white screen, and for some reason - where my ‘more’ link is, it is replaced by the actual link to the ‘more’ post, and the content is deleted. Will 2.1.3 fix that?

Wordpress Support has been absolutely not supportive about that for me.

    Thanks Meander!

That sounds serious Hart, my problems are nothing of the kind and although I’m blaming the autosave I’m also pointing fingers to some ajax features. Those last ones have sorted themselves out after the upgrade to 2.1.3 and a quickfix I found in the WP trac. Unless I run into stuff, I’ll post it on the blog, but I’d like to run it a wee bit longer.

But Hart, I think your problem might be plugin related. You should upgrade of course, but try disabling plugins first. And get a backup!

  4. Easier said than done. 100% of my plugins are not only hand-picked by me and updated .. 100% are on the list of approved plugin versions or higher.

There is not enough hours in the day trying to figure out some random combination of plugins is causing this ‘autosave’ problem. And, it is an ‘autosave’ problem. I post a lot of Ezine articles and when there is no time to autosave, it posts fine. If it autosaves, it screws up.

But - it’s middle of night here, I’m up - maybe I should just try upgrading from 2.1 to 2.1.3 now :)
