I’m sitting here, one (planned) hour of work left but I can’t bring myself to do anything serious. Plug out the microphone, set Skype to away and fire up Windows Media Player (bite me, Itunes).
Indesign sits there with stuff to do, and sure – I’m getting some of it done, but not in my normal speed if you know what I mean.
Checking Bloglines for the third time this hour, the discipline very far off at the moment.
And you know what? It doesn’t matter. I’ve had a long and effective day, I deserve to chill a bit. Other people do it all day, but I’m my own and I don’t work that way. Either I work, or I do something else.
The mood’s high for some reason, just like yesterday. I just know I’ll bring out the guitar while waiting for House to begin, trying to remember how to play. Perhaps I’ll listen to some Dylan, or maybe go on with what’s on right now (Guns n’ Roses at the moment), we’ll see.
I’ll most likely not touch the computer this evening. Computers suck on principle. When blogs go paper I’ll be there at the frontline, trash talking Web 2.0 and slapping it with Paper 3.0. Repeat it all when Web upgrades again. Hamster dance 2.0?
And in all this unfocused swirl of thoughts, emotions and longings I find myself ready to take on the world.
Or pour a scotch.
Most likely I’ll do the latter. It fits so bloody well with the guitar and Bob Dylan, you know?

InDesign - oh my friend oh my foe… I’ve been taking a lengthy break from that program to learn some others, namely the Paper 3.0, my cat 10.0 and hmmmm garden 4.0
I still like Hampster Dance 2.0! LMAO! It would make a good name for a blog eh? And only post when you have scotch in hand.
Indesign is so Paper 2.0… I’m stuck to it however, waiting for BrushPencilr BETA.
And yes, that is a good name for a blog. I also like the idea with the scotch. Come to think of it I kinda always like every idea as long as it goes with scotch. Yummy!
