I wouldn’t recommend anyone walking through Berlin on New Year’s Eve. Fireworks ruled the streets, and the sky, with young and old, intoxicated and careless, firing from every corner of the street.
It was not a pleasant experience, not even remotely so. The sirens that littered this pseudo-festive experience all night long proved that the occurrence not only was unpleasant, it was also disastrous for some.
A half a bottle of Irish whisky at the hotel room proved to be a far more entertaining way to celebrate the first day of the New Year.
Welcome to 2007. Enjoy the show.
