Where Would I Be if People Delivered?

Where is my stuff?I’ve had a few bad months for my own personal projects. Being ill and having crunch time on my biggest client project yet (May ’til December, crazy), as well as all my normal design gigs, well, it takes its toll.

However, the lack of planned re-launches and new launches can partly be blamed on people not holding up to their promises. You see, I work with a lot of people, and whenever I can I outsource to save time, as well as help fellow coders and designers out.

I might not do that anymore, since it’s constant disappointment.

The last two months I’ve outsourced one design, and cleverly layered PSD for BloggerTalks actually, to no less than eight (as in 8) people, for conversion to xhtml. It’s not that I can’t do it, but my schedule is too packed for me to be able to squeeze it in.

None of these eight have delivered. Most of them haven’t even gotten back to my e-mails requesting an update.

Maybe you get what you pay for, but the least you can do is to let me know that you’re not up to the task, right?

Where would I be if these people delivered? No, I won’t give you their names (you know who you are), that would be a bit harsh, I think. Still, I’ll think twice before even considering pushing work to them again.

    What do you think?
