I was hoping to announce a project today, but I’ll have to push that forward a bit, waiting to get the definite word from my favorite illustrator. Would be nice to launch it with a piece of his work, but I hadn’t planned it so if he’s swamped I’ll just go ahead. It’s worth the extra days of waiting though.
Meanwhile, I’ve returned to The Blog Herald with a post connecting to my tooting your own horn post. If you want to know how to get me to read your blog, this is the post for you. Long time TDH readers (hah!) might remember that I started my international blogging career at that fine site, before moving on to 901am. Full circle, eh?
The Blog Herald isn’t the only place you can catch me blogging. As of today I’ll be doing my best to head up Wisdump, that find old home of Paul Scrivens of 9rules, and just recently 3by9, fame. Big shoes indeed, it’ll be a process for sure.
And since I’m a brand kind of guy, I’ll be doing my best to establish a strong duo with Devlounge, that great blog about design. AJ, the previous owner, have sold it to Splashpress, and I’ll be gearing it up, with the help of David Peralty, and hopefully keeping AJ onboard as well - I’ll not promise it, but as things go now, that’s the way it looks, which I’m both grateful for, and happy about. He’s a great writer, and he’s done great things with Devlounge, so it would be a shame to lose him. Expect me at the helm there any day now.
So yeah, I have plans for Wisdump and Devlounge, exciting plans if you ask me. I’ll delve deeper into them at a later time, most likely over at The Blog Herald, so keep an eye out for me there.
I can’t believe how many doors blogging have opened for me this past year. When I get the opportunity, I’ll try to give something back. So here I am, sort of announcing the Notes Blog theme for WordPress. Expect it in late November, although I’ve yet to commit to a date. Lots of stuff on the table right now. Anyway, it’ll be a clean and sober theme, easily customized and offered for free download.
Exciting times indeed.
