WordPress 2.5 Due Yesterday
I know, I’m just being snarky and obnoxious. The new version of WordPress, version 2.5 (you know what I think about that number) was due yesterday, March 10th, but isn’t released yet. I’m not surprised, you’re not surprised, actually, nobody’s surprised. Most releases are late, and WordPress are notoriously on this aspect.
Tired of waiting? Read Six Apart’s blog entry on how to switch to Movable Type. It apparently pissed Matt Mullenweg off, which I think is hilarious since it’s a pretty tame attempt to attract new users to the competitive blog platform.
I’m actually pretty curious about Movable Type since it got upgraded to version 4.0. There are things, like multiple blogs on one install, that I really miss in WordPress (don’t start yapping about WordPress MU, too much hassle). Still, I’ve invested a lot of time and energy in WordPress, and the community is great, so I’ll stick with it a little while longer.
Is it out yet, 2.5?
Nope. Murphy’s law should’ve got it published by the mere fact that I’m writing this post. I guess it’s broken.
