Three Firefox (for Mac) crashes this morning so far. It seems to be a bug of sorts, when opening new tabs too quickly after loading a web page in a separate tab. Not acceptable, there should be an auto-report error button when Firefox crashes!
You might remember from various social notes that I switched back from Safari to Firefox due to the instability of the former… Well, with Safari 3.1 out, maybe I should give the Apple browser another go?

Have you seen the Mahalo’s Firefox toolbar, called Mahalo Follow? Then you’ve seen what great taste the good folks over at Mahalo have. Here’s a screenshot:

Recognize something? Fun stuff.

Getting back online means having lots of stuff to catch up on. The obviously screaming inbox is one of them, reading another. Not counting work (wether it is blogging, designing or something else), that’s what I need to catch up on.
E-mail is my primary mean of communication. Being away for almost two weeks leaves me with a lot of spam and newsletter cleaning in my inbox (although filters help a lot) and 200 or so e-mails marked urgent reply needed. That’s a whole days work at least, so I’ll try and trim it down to 50 e-mails a day, and also take some extra time to get rid of the ones where a short reply is enough. Marking you e-mail with labels to help you prioritize is a good way to relieve you of some stress. Labels like urgent reply needed, research first and in due time will help a lot if you like me receive a lot of mail. I also label my e-mail after what project they correspond to. That will help me to find all the urgent reply needed e-mails that belongs to a certain design gig. Unfortunately I’ve been sloppy with my labeling so I have my work cut out for me… More

Not this server for once though.
Man, I’m so tired. My weekend consisted of trying to restore a big Swedish site on a server with a burnt out disk. The hosting company did a great job setting up a new server for me, but DNS’ can’t be re-pointed to a new location instantly, and besides they couldn’t start restoring data from the dead disk until Monday so… Well, that was my Saturday night.
Sunday was all code, and today I’ve restored 50% of that same Swedish site, leaving me a full day behind schedule for an upcoming relaunch.
Doing stuff on the server now as well, so heavy on the poor ol’ Firefox that I can’t use it while it’s working. I probably pasted a little too many SQL commands there… Writing this in Safari, which actually isn’t half bad anymore.
Yeah, I feel just a little bit sorry for myself right now. This week will just get better though, and yes, that’s irony for you folks. Funeral on Friday and it involes taking a trip and staying from home two nights, which I hate.
My schedule is crying tears of blood and I just want to sleep.
Deep breaths, one step at a time. Sooner or later it’s a new week, with the prospect of things working out better.

You know, people should just get Firefox. Really. My life would have been so much easier then, and you don’t want me to suffer, pull my 3mm long hair and scream obscenities on the inside?
I thought so. Get it. Thanks.
