I’ve spent most of this week doing a larger freelance gig for a newspaper, so there’s been time for little else. This gig was in Swedish, and aimed at the Swedish market, so you won’t be seeing anything of it, but at least I’ll get a slightly larger paycheck this month. You’ll have to settle with that!

My thoughts and advice on widgets, on Spyre Mag
I sincerely hope that the next time I post something here on tdhedengren.com, it will be an announcement of the new design. And after that, you can expect to read my thoughts on this lovely Kiki James journal.
I’ve had a good week, which is nice. On the freelancing front, I’ve got my first post up on Jon’s Spyre Mag. When it comes to design, as you know I’m running an addon theme for Notes Blog Core on tdh.se, which is working out nicely. Expect a public beta soonish.
For those of you who wondered, no, I don’t have an ETA on the third part in Stiel’s story. It might not get written this side of New Year’s even, as I’ve got a bunch of stuff to do.
I’ve been ill all week so not much has been published, I’m afraid. Still not entirely well, so it’ll be a quiet weekend for me. As always, news posts and such aren’t represented below.
As most of you probably figured out, the announcement I hinted on previously was the sale of BloggerTalks and Live Arcade Review. I’m really happy to see Splashpress Media getting them back in business, dying sites are both stressful and bad for you, so I’m glad that worked out.
Another week of mostly newsy posts. On the positive side, I expect to run a closed beta test of the Notes Blog theme starting this afternoon. Got a few users that’ll play and develop for it. Stay tuned for more.
I’ve been laying low this week on the freelance front. Most of my work have been behind the scenes, which will be very obvious on Devlounge in particular during the coming weeks. Other than that, my company’s fiscal year ended recently, so the paperwork has been bogging me down as well.
The news I’ve hinted on previously will be announced soon enough. Some of you have probably gathered what it is already…
A tiny reminder regarding the Freelance Friday posts. These are not complete listings of my freelance work each week, I’m just highlighting the stuff I think deserves some recognition, or is just plain interesting. For instance, I’m doing a lot of news posts on The Blog Herald that won’t make it to these posts.
I’d also like to drop an ego link to Spyre Studios’ 25 kick-ass blog designs post, where Devlounge is featured. Thanks a lot, Jon!
This week has been rough on me, due to illness and a lot of appointments, making it hard to do any serious work. But I did that anyway, as you can see, and I also wrapped up a few things, which felt nice. More on that later.
As I said, news due soon!
This week has been crazy, and this is catching up with me right now. I’ll have to break my rule and pull some workhours this weekend, probably on Sunday. This includes writing and revising freelance work for various sites, design work, theme packaging, and possibly some development with the Notes Blog theme, which I have been forced to neglect most of the week. I’m not happy with the current situation, and it shows in the lack of posts here, but hopefully I’ll be back on track by next week.
See you next week.
I made my debut post on GigaOM this week, which was fun. I’m doing some freelance work for them, and I’d reckon you’ll see my name pop up in the content every now and then from now on. Not on a daily basis or anything, but there’s some stuff lined up. Other than that, there’s been a lot of meetings and stuff to manage due to the fiscal year coming to a close for my company, and the fact that we signed a distributor’s agreement for Scandinavia for a certain product. I’ve been working on some design stuff this week, it’ll probably be a blog post in the coming week. Some good news, and some bad, at least for me and my plans… I also pulled The Blog Herald out of the beta sphere, so now my version is up there. There are still plans, ideas, and whatnot, but due to several reasons, none of these will be realized anytime soon. That might be a good thing, though, since it means that we can focus on the content. Because of my behind the scenes work, most of this week’s Blog Herald stories have been news posts.
My shortest list yet! I did, however, just finish The Green Knight short story, so you could always read that.
