I’m reading that uTorrent is finally available in a beta version for Mac. It was my torrent client of choice in my past (Windows) life, but today I’m more than happy with Transmission and I won’t be switching anytime soon.

It’s not a good day being Bill Gates in the TDH workspace. Windows have been pushed back, way back, due to my Ubuntu experiment (which in no way is scrapped, more later), and now the nail hit the coffin for real.

I’m writing this on my brand new MacBook, listening to David Bowie’s Heathen on iTunes. That felt appropriate.

For me, Apple computers over the years have been ridiculously over-priced. Some still are, like the MacBook Pro (needless to say, I went with a fully pimped out Standard), but there’s some reason to it nowadays. Sure, I would have gotten a hotter configuration for my money if I went Windows laptop PC, but since I have pretty high demands on my hardware due to the design business, it still feels I got pretty much for my money. Apple knows how to charge for stuff though, the brilliant bluetooth Mighty Mouse is pretty expensive, but I like it. And although I did get quite a bit of extra stuff for my MacBook, breaking the planned budget a bit, I still think it was a decent deal. Read more →
