Oh man, I want me one of those!

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone reading my blog, but I’m a total nut for notebooks. The favorite is high quality stuff from Moleskine, but that doesn’t mean that I neglect other offerings out there. So when Kiki James in London wanted to send me handmade leather bound journal, I just couldn’t say no.

Naturally, I had to document this baby, so with my trusty Sony Cybershot T70, I tore the box from the postman’s hands, snarled, and retreated to my home office. Read more →

I want me one of these! It’s a cover for the Moleskine notebook, not as elaborate as the one I’ve mentioned before, but still very cool and stylish. I’ll contact Cziplee about the brown one for sure. Check out the Flickr set. Via!

Moleskine notebooks, one of the finer things in life

Moleskine notebooks, one of the finer things in life

As you know, I’m a huge Moleskine fan, with notebooks to the left and right. I’m definitely not alone in my obsession, lots of people swear by this line of notebooks. As I’ve written previously, I use notebooks for various things, such as keeping notes, write fiction, and I even switched to the Moleskine calendar this year, which proved to be a good choice.

It’s a bit nerdy I guess, to be so engrossed in a notebook, and a specific maker of notebooks at that, but I can’t help it. And besides, it does go the extra mile.

Moleskine notebooks are high quality gear, just like my Pilot G-2 pens are (although cheap, but they fit me). I like them for their quality, and the fact that they are great to write on in both 05 and 07 versions. The former I use for my smaller Moleskine notebooks, while the latter is my preferred size when writing in larger books, and in my calendar. Read more →

I write a lot. Sometimes more than I’d want to admit, but at the very least, we’re talking several pages daily. I actually used to write a lot more, in my teens, since I was one of those teenagers that wasn’t stimulated by school, hence I skipped classes and spent my time reading and writing. As you’ve probably gathered, fiction is an obsession of mine, fantasy in particular, although that follows my mood.

Add all the freelance writing I do, on a weekday basis, and my own projects, as well as my blogs, and you’ve got quite a lot of writing right there. Not to mention the fact that I always play with a handful of projects in one of my Moleskine notebooks at all times, not all writing is done on the computer. Read more →

I hate waiting for things to happen, people to react, stuff to be delivered. It’s necessary, like right now for instance, I’m waiting for a client to update some stuff so that I can get back to prettify his site. Necessary, but boring. Luckily, I’ll just multitask. Read more →

My two primary notebooksIn this modern age the computer have since long killed the typewriter, and handwriting only drags along in the form of scribbled notes and shopping lists. Analog writing is dead, digital is King, right?

Wrong!

I’ve since long been a notebook freak, as in paper notebook, not small laptop. At times I had a notebook for each project, which isn’t something I employ right now since it added clutter. I’ll be talking more about clutter later on, by the way. Read more →
