The New Xbox 360 Dashboard 0

My avatarI’m pretty pleased with NXE, short for New Xbox Experience, being the new GUI for the Xbox 360 Dashboard. From the pretty dull and somewhat ugly “blades” concept, to a clean and sober cross media bar. Wait a minute, XMB, someone already did that, right?

Yep, Sony sure did, with both the PSP and the PlayStation3. There’s no doubt that Microsoft has been eying the competetion closely, and it doesn’t stop with XMB. In fact, what’s even worse is the shameless Mii ripoff that the new avatars are. I don’t care how much Rare and Microsoft say that they did this years ago, they are late to the party and the avatars looks just like Miis, just in high resolution. Read more

If I did an Online Video Show, I’d do it like this 3

Shoot that video show!Online video is big, that’s nothing new. Lots of people want to get into it, post-Rocketboom and whatnot. And there are some great content out there, I just recently found Natali Del Conte’s show TeXtra (via CrunchNotes), which is the perfect example of a great online video show (or podcast if you prefer). They have some budget there, I can imagine, since they managed to lure Natali from TechCrunch, not known to be paying its writers scraps - but what do I know?

Anyway, online video is big, and I’ve been wanting to dabble with it. I actually bought a Sony handycam a little while back, just to see what I could do with it.
