Microblogging service Twitter isn’t just a fad, it’s something constantly growing in popularity, although it has its ups and downs. For instance, take a look at this Google Trends comparison (for 2008 so far) with Jaiku and Pownce, there’s no doubt that Twitter is holding out strong. Surely the slump it is in now is due to the fact that it is Summer, and the good weather always has an impact on things online.

Actually, the most interesting thing in this graph, is that Jaiku and Pownce are more or less on the same page, while Twitter is massive in comparison. More

I’m enjoying a cup of coffee while taking the new version of desktop blog software Blogo for a spin. It’s still in beta, but I’ve been granted access by Ben over at Brainjuice, and at first glance there are some great improvements. I’m the new editor over at The Blog Herald, as of yesterday actually. It was officially announced today though, so pop over for that. Among the things on my plate for this gig is of course a redesign, you can follow that on the site of course, and via Twitter, both mine and the one created for The Blog Herald.

I’ve been Twittering pretty frequently, engrossing myself in conversations and whatnot. There’s been a link on my Stalker page for some time, but I’ve favored Jaiku until now.
Do consider following me on Twitter if you’re on this particular microblogging platform.

As of now, Jaiku is down. It was having problems yesterday as well. Just like Twitter has all the time, the equivalence of downtime these days. Although it used to be worse. Copying the downtime part of Twitter feels like a bad idea. However, now that Jaiku is down, this is what you get:

Certainly reminds me of the Twitter’s down page, with the bird and all, right? Looks pretty bad if you ask me.
You can stalk me on these two fine microblogging services if you like.
