The Blog Herald is a great blog about, er, blogs and the business around them. It’s the largest blog and news opinion site around, and we’re talking tens of thousands of readers daily here.
And now I’m there as a columnist, which is great fun so far. Sure, only one post so far but still – I’m very excited to be writing for this major site. In other words, my blog-biz related posts won’t appear on tdhedengren.com anymore, you’ll be reading them at The Blog Herald.
Wordpress.com starts to monetize is my first post, and I also have the great honor to get an introducing-post.

You know what? It never works.
There’s a lot of people out there who wants to write fiction, either as full-fledged novels or short stories, for a living. Or maybe just on their free time, but they want to get it read, get it published. Some are satisfied with putting their work on the Internet, which is fine of course, but most want their magical words put on a page, in a book, that you buy in a bookstore.
When I think about it, the same goes for most journalists. The web’s fine for starters, but most of them dream about a staff position at a print magazine… But I digress.
So here I am with an English blog. I’ve certainly taken my time with this one, the concept’s been on my desk for years. How time flies! However, I feel you should have something to say, or at least some kind of goal with your blogging. Feeding the world with private nonsense and crawling in my own ego doesn’t feel like me at all. So I won’t.
